Frequently Asked Questions
When are lessons held?
Tutees typically have a one hour lesson once a week. Lessons are possible both during school terms and holidays from 8am through to 8pm (weekdays) and 9am to 7pm on Saturdays.
Where are the lessons held?
In tutees' homes in Bath, Bristol and the surrounding area. Also, online using a variety of platforms, including Teams, Google Meet and Zoom.
Do you have a DBS?
Yes, I have an enhanced DBS certicate.
Do you know and follow the school curriculum?
Yes, I am fully up to date with all recent developments and changes to both the primary and secondary curriculum.
Have you worked with students with specific learning needs?
Yes, many! In my long school experience, as well as in more recent years through tutoring, I have worked with several students with specific needs, including dyslexia, dyscalculia and students on the autistic spectrum. I always provide a tailored style of sessions to suit their needs, after finding out more about how they best learn and which activities they particularly enjoy.
What if you need to cancel a session?
Please give as much notice as possible, preferably 24 hours notice or more.
We always try to accommodate lastminute requests and reschedule sessions, where possible.

PB Tutoring is a personalised tutoring service offering one-on-one sessions (both in person and online) in maths, English and science. With extensive experience in exam preparation for 11+, 13+ and SATS, Peri brings over 13 years of expertise to help students in Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas boost their confidence, reach their academic targets and fulfil their potential.
Following a career in science and engineering, Peri gained his PGCE at the University of Reading in 2011. Since then, he has taught in a number of primary and secondary schools in the South of England, before becoming a full-time tutor. His unique style of tutoring -with fast paced activities and customised, achievable tasks- is a firm favourite with both children and parents.
